Cincinnati, Ohio. Contentra Technologies, one of the most respected companies in the business of editorial and project support for K–12 education publishers, welcomes Steven Kaszynski as its first Director of Alignment.
Kaszynski, who joined Contentra in June of this year, brings 20 years of direct alignment experience and expertise in leading teams of subject-matter experts.
“Steven’s skill set is unparalleled in the education market,” observed Contentra Senior Vice President Bill Faber. “He has extensive knowledge of state and national standards from Common Core to Next Gen Science Standards. He has done immeasurable alignment work for education publishers in all K–12 grades and disciplines. Steven also has great familiarity with AP and high school career tech correlations.”
Kaszynski’s teams are renowned for their traditional manual alignments, but they also have the key ability to apply subject knowledge to master proprietary alignment tools. His teams have produced data in many forms for print and online course materials as well as web-based teaching and learning platforms.
The art of alignment is nuanced. It takes the human element to accurately provide results that are relevant to publishers and ultimately to the schools, teachers, and publishers who rely on them. Kaszynski knows that academic standard alignment plays a crucial role in the production of high-quality educational materials and the ability of the publisher to market materials to state boards.
The introduction of the Alignment department and the addition of Kaszynski bolsters Contentra’s ability to staff more types of projects in a far greater field of subjects.
Faber adds, “We believe that Steven helps position Contentra Technologies as the nation’s go-to correlations shop.”
